Brotherhood

The purpose of the Brotherhood is to be guided by the Holy Spirit in a quest to bring brothers together at EBC with the Word of God, and to go beyond as we learn and become stewards under the Holy Spirit's leadership.

  • Men's Monday Night Bible Study - 7:00 p.m., Rm #217 {every Monday night except for Holidays]
  • Quarterly Men's Night Out, Fridays (Jun, Sep, Dec, Mar) - 6:30 p.m., Agape Hall | Join the brothers for a good time in the Lord with songs, prayer, a message from God's word, cards, chess, and dominoes, and o'plenty of good down home food!

Children/Youth Ministries

In addition to meeting the overall mission of Emmanuel Baptist Church, the Youth Ministry's mission is to shepherd youth through the process of ministry involvement.

Youth Ministry works to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person and seeks to draw young people into responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Christian faith.

Discipleship Ministry

Mission:
Lead in equipping members for discipleship and personal ministry, which includes new church member training and church leader training.

Vision:
To ensure that all new members complete New Member Orientation and subsequent classes (201-Continuation of Discovering Church Membership, 301 - Discovering your gifts, (401) - Preparing membrs for Ministry and to ensure that all new members don't become victims of the "revolving door syndrome". Also, to involve the entire congregation in the process of learning, fellowing and missions.

Evangelism Ministry

MISSION:
To equip and assist the lost in understanding God’s plan for salvation through His Son Jesus Christ by use of the Holy Spirit and God’s divine Word

VISION:
That men, women, boys, and girls come to the knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus Christ and that they accept Him as Lord and Savior.

Music & Worship Arts Ministries

Blessed with a tremendous number of gifted musicians, song writers, and singers Emmanuel has long been known for its dynamic music ministries. Operation Share

MISSION:
Operation Share is a ministry focused on the churches mission statement of Caring.  By providing and distributing food for the community.  We strive to show the love of Jesus to the ones that come to our center by providing them not only with food for their body but food for their soul.

VISION: 
To form a Network with other community based resource centers to provide food, health and other supportive needs to our brothers and sisters in need.

Personnel Committee

MISSION:
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in conjunction with the Pastor and the Church Leadership Team,
the mission of the Emmanuel Baptist Church Personnel Committee is to prayerfully assist the church in  administering such programs as salary planning, benefits, performance management, recruitment, and handling potential staff conflicts. The Committee also assists the church in developing and administering strategies, personnel policies and procedures for the EBC staff.

VISION: 
To provided leadership to the church in the area of Human Resource Administration with respect to handling communications issues among staff members, contract administration, compensation, benefits and hiring qualified staff members. (Full & Part-time) Our vision for this committee is to perform these tasks in a way that glorifies the Lord and meet the needs of our church.

MISSION:
To commit to Sunday School as the foundational strategy for doing the Great Commission.

Usher Board

MISSION:
To assist the Pastor or minister in charge, in making the service a success by helping to put the congregation in the right frame of mind to receive the message.  Ushers are to be forerunners…prepare the church for guest by being the first to arrive at church to ensure that proper conditions exist.  Usher’s see that hymn books, bibles, fans, church literature collection envelopes and any other things that are to be distributed to the congregation are in place. In addition, ushers take part in the offering worship service by taking up the collections.  Ushers serve the congregation before, during and after services and assist in maintaining a worshipful atmosphere in the church.

VISION:
To provide an Usher ministry that will include all that desire to serve as Ushers from the age of 7 and above.  To train and support the board members to accept the responsibility of being doorkeepers for the Lord with a friendly smile, loving heart and willingness to service together as one.

MISSION:
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, our Mission is to equip women and girls in meeting  the spiritual and physical needs of people with the intention of sharing the love of Christ

WMU challenges Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God.
